Photography
I have a long history with photography, which I mention not because I'm any kind of expert or professional with it, in fact I'm sort of a permanent novice and I'm ok with that.
Personal history with photography
I grew up in Rochester NY, home of Kodak. My father bought his first SLR to take pictures of me when I was born. As a kid, I took photography camp classes provided by the Eastman Museum. In high school I setup a darkroom in my closet (enlarger on one side, chemical trays on the other). In college (Pratt) I jumped from Photo I to III and worked in the Manhattan campus photo lab.
Current photography interests
I currently have a modest set of gear that serves me well for the following pursuits:
- Bird photography
- Digitizing old negatives
- Capturing process and equipment for this website
- Casual family/travel photos for yearly "remember the year" books
- Nature, closeup of bugs, flowers, etc.
